Changing the Language of Death

Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Charles E. Smith, US Army Retired

“Changing the Language of Death” is the author’s personal journey used as a bridge to help the grieving community heal from the bitter pains of grief.

It is a gift book to family, friends, and loved ones to make the rough places (journey) smooth. The author's thought process is from a lived experience and is not theory. It is a spiritual autopsy of awareness on his inner self. There is a message in this book that he hopes will empower you to change how you view death and in return change the way you grieve. You will start your journey from a vantage point of rewriting your script and letting go of the old party lines that lock you into pain and bitterness.

Meditation: Exhaling the Lord’s Prayer is the author’s personal journey used as a bridge to help the African-American Christian community transition into an esoteric approach in interpreting and practicing the Lord’s Prayer. The author reveals troubling obstacles and theological struggles that allowed him to disrobe the garments of European Christianity thought patterns he was indoctrinated in as a Baptist minister. The intention of this book is to build a bridge and set at rest those souls that are disturbed, to help those asking, seeking and knocking see in the dark without becoming blinded by too much light.
